Terms of Service
The short version: The Sharps Ledger is an analytics tool. We show you odds data and help you track your bets. We are not a sportsbook. You are responsible for complying with your local laws regarding sports betting.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using The Sharps Ledger ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including free and paid subscribers.
2. Description of service
The Sharps Ledger is a sports betting analytics platform that provides:
- Display of publicly available odds from sportsbooks for informational purposes
- Tools to track and analyze your personal betting history
- Closing line value (CLV) calculations based on your imported data
- Email summaries of odds information and your betting performance
The Sharps Ledger does not accept bets, process wagers, or operate as a sportsbook. We are a data and analytics tool only. Any betting activity you undertake is solely between you and the licensed sportsbook of your choosing.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use The Sharps Ledger. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older. You are responsible for ensuring that sports betting is legal in your jurisdiction before using this service to analyze betting activity. We do not verify the legality of betting in your location.
4. Account registration
You must provide a valid email address and password to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@thesharpsedger.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You may not create accounts for others or share your account with others.
5. Subscription and payment
The Sharps Ledger offers a free tier and paid Sharp subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. All payments are in US dollars.
- Monthly: $25/month, billed monthly, cancel anytime
- Annual: $199/year, billed annually, cancel anytime with access until period end
- Free trial: 7 days of Sharp access, no credit card required
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel an annual plan within 7 days of purchase and have not used the service, contact us for a full refund.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers via email.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to access, scrape, or copy odds data from our service in bulk or via automated means
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to engage in any form of market manipulation
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits
- Share your account credentials with others
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
7. Your data
You retain ownership of all betting data you import or enter into The Sharps Ledger. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data. You may export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Odds data accuracy
Odds displayed by The Sharps Ledger are sourced from third-party providers and are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any odds data. Odds change rapidly and the lines shown may not reflect current available odds at any sportsbook. Never rely solely on The Sharps Ledger data when placing a bet — always verify current odds directly at the sportsbook before wagering.
9. No betting advice
Nothing in the The Sharps Ledger Service constitutes betting advice, a recommendation to place any specific bet, or a guarantee of any outcome. CLV scores, P&L analytics, and line shopping data are analytical tools only. Past performance of any bet or betting strategy does not guarantee future results. Sports betting involves risk and you may lose money.
10. Intellectual property
The The Sharps Ledger name, logo, software, and content (excluding your personal data) are owned by The Sharps Ledger and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our name, logo, or content without written permission.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sharps Ledger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any losses from betting decisions made using our data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Sharps Ledger, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in account settings or emailing support@thesharpsedger.io. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
15. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email with 14 days notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
